Lots of Layers with WIDA

Casing Wida over at CASE STUDY CHALLENGE #192.  Her seemingly effortless grouping of  odd pieces come together beautifully... Here is her card for this week.

And Here is mine.

The Lattice is stamped on tissue paper, held on with various washi tapes. Sewing those sequins together was trickier than I thought it would be, but I like the tangle of them.

One Lone Poppy

Remembering those that GAVE their lives for our FREEDOM!
Have a BLESSED MEMORIAL DAY.

I have ONE poppy plant in the garden...one GORGEOUS bloom every year.  It is so difficult for the kiddos NOT to pick it and bring it to me..I asked them this year to leave it "PLEASE" and we shall see if we can get MORE poppy plants to grow for years to come from the tiny seeds that fall:) Oh the sweetness of youth.

Intermediate Freehand Painting with Tasnim Ahmed

Okay,  so there were MANY lessons that were my FAVORITE!! Dear Tasnim taught this technique that was daunting to try for me. I just had to let go and see what happened.

Freehand Painting...very freeing.

Playtime taught by Tim Holtz

One of the final lessons in class was taught by Tim using stencils and distress inks. This was another QUICK and easy card technique. I doodled a bit after the drying time.

FUN, FUN, FUN!

Wild Stitching

Good Sunday ya 'all!

The top four Kiddos just got back from their road-trip to Texas with  cousins and the Grands. It's been a different ten days for us left with only two little-ones at home. Kind of peaceful...lots of good creative time.:))
I wanted to enter one more time over at VIRGINIA'S VIEW with this WILD STITCHING inspired by Wida's card over at CASE STUDY # 191.

With all the water coloring going on at  OCC WATERCOLOR for Card MAKERS there's a LOT of baby wipes left over with GREAT color on them. I just felt like stitching some flowers,

OCC-Day 9 – Simple Freehand Watercolor Painting

Oh FREEHAND!! UGH! ..... Many fears in the area of freehand. I so often over work and MUDDY up the colors.
I actually thought I could handle  the first homework  Jennifer Rzasa gave today ...The SPLATTER and a tree trunk. here is my first go at it.

Muddy!!
I just kept playing....
I DID come up with something worthy of a card though:))

OCC Day 1: WATERCOLOR BACKGROUNDS

I have been enjoying all the tips/tricks and techniques taught in the  Online Card Classes...Watercolor for Card Makers

The kiddos and I have been playing A LOT with all the new ideas. Making cards out of the projects has taken a bit because we just want to keep on experimenting! Nevertheless..here are cards inspired by DAY 1.

CASEing WEEE-DAH.

I just had to take part in this weeks  CASE Study Challenge #189 where  WIDA MILLER is the muse for five weeks..YAY! I'm taken by Wida's Fresh style that always has an element of surprise. She makes me giggle, too, with some of the things she says.

I cased my card based on both of Wida's cards...her original and the Case of her CASE for this week.

LOVE her signature bow with it's pretty flowing tails.  See how I tried to copy that? I used my heat tool while the tails were wrapped around a pencil. Still not as happy with the flow of mine though.  WHAT is your secret Wida?

Looking forward to playing all five weeks!
