PTI Supplies:
Cover Plate: In the Woods Die

While I had my supplies out I had time to play with the MIM#194 technique Melissa Phillips shared with us :  Stamped Borders.  I just could not get myself to make a Sympathy card today! Still too much JOY around here:) But I did use the stamped borders technique for a birthday and encouragement card.

WINTER INSPIRATION at SSS Wednesday Challenge

One more week until Christmas Eve!
The kiddos are beside themselves, Our 120some Christmas cards are completed, signed and mailed out. Whew!!
Time to move on to more baking, dancing and just a bit of gift wrapping:)

I did have time to create this little card after seeing a "no-line" tutorial from Sandy.
SNOWBIRD from Stampendous was the perfect stamp for playing with my watercolor Pencils and Crayons. Adding Snowy highlights with Copic opaque white pigment  is quick and easy.
A stitched frame from Wplus9 finished off the whole scene nicely I think:)

Jenn Shurkus from SSS Wednesday Challenge has put together a wonderful inspiration board for this weeks' challenge. The ice covered berries caught my eye.
Hope you can take time to create something wintery...I find it to be relaxing during this busy season:)
Warm Hugs!

Guesting at STAMPlorations

Good Friday to ya!
I am SUPER DUPER excited to be Guest designing for the December Challenge at STAMPlorations!

As the October Challenge: Stamps and Embossing winner I received two stamp sets of my choice.
VIGNETTE: Art Deco Border Builders and VIGNETTE: Grunge Floral Strips were the sets I chose and used for the background foundation of this card.  Making fabric like BGs has become a passion of mine.  I'm simply giddy with the results:)

For this month's Challenge YOU get to CHOOSE from any past challenge theme or sketch.
You'll find all monthly challenge themes here.
And the sketches here.
I chose STAMPS and LAYERS from the November Challenge:
I started with Solar white cardstock and these inks:
Some of the stamps I inked up in two colors, then stamped:
Then I heat embossed a stencil over the top.
For the dimensional layers, I fussy cut one of the BLOOM SKETCHES from STAMPlorations and covered it in Glossy accents.  Layered it on top of some PTI leaves and Memorybox dies then paired it with a sentiment from Wplus9...which I embossed in clear powder.

Hope this encourages you to come over and play at STAMPlorations.

THANK YOU to Shery, owner of STAMPlorations, for having me as a Guest Designer!

HUGS,..thanks for looking.

Operation Write Home Red Friday

Yes, Valentines in December!!
Today I'm posting a couple of cards inspired by last weeks Operation Write Home Red Friday Blog Hop.
I agree it is important to remember those who are serving in the armed forces...sacrificing much for our freedom .
Once again it was Laura Bassen's card that inspired me.

Maybe you have some cards that you could send to OWH...for the troops.
Check out the web site to see what themes are most needed.
Valentine's  are a good idea, especially if your Christmas mojo is lacking.
