Thank you set

After the wedding I needed to make many, much, LOTS of thank you cards.  So many peolpe helped make the day as special as it was:)
So today I created a card set using Wplus9's Fresh cut Wreaths. The set came together SUPER fast due to the MISI!
Here is a closer look at my favorite color combo.

It's never too late

You all may know that last weekend was my daughter's wedding.
It was Beautiful! The Lord gave us a window of clear skies and no rain for the day:) I praise Him for that gift, as the reception was held at our home...200 plus people...what would have we done if it had rained?
So we kind of missed celebrating Father's day.  But as the tittle says It's never too late:)
My dad is a VERY patient man, he would not mind if we continued without a fuss over him, but I think he is worth the mention and the time. I adore my dad:)
So here is the card I made for him.
I used a SSS stencil and stamps from various SSS sets.
I'll be linking up to the SSS Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Hope you have a Blessed weekend.

The Card Concept Challenge #38

Hello and Good Wednesday morning to you!
Today I have a card to share for Challenge #38 at The Card Concept.

The inspiration photo inspired Simplicity...Lots of white space, yellow ( mine when more on the shades of green) and a small cluster of wards.

Thanks for stopping by.

LauraJane:)

Enjoy the day

We have my daughter's wedding coming up in three days. Yikes!
This is a message to her as well as to myself.

Praying the rain will stop:)
Edited:
In my excitement I have used the wrong sense/tense of the word YOUR..
I shall fix it directly:)

Ah... the beauty of using vellum
I simply ripped the misused "YOU'RE day" off and replaced it with "today":)
Now that is better!

Still praying the rain will stop:)

TCC Challenge #37

Popping in with a card for the new challenge at The Card Concept.
Once again Lesley has chosen a stunning inspiration photo to play with!

I was inspired by the BOLD BRIGHT colors!
Perfect for a graduation card:)

I used glossy accents for tiny water droplets for added interest.

Hope you take time to play along!

PPP Watercolor Blog Hop

I have another card today for the Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Hop.

Being in a playful/experimental mood I used a Penny Black Die as a "stencil".

  • I inked several shades of pink and yellow Distress Inks onto watercolor paper through the "stencil" and spritzed with water.
  • Also used the Tim Holts spritzer tool.
  • Placed some tissue paper on top and ran it through the Big Kick.
  • Moved the "stencil" onto white cardstock , covered it with paper towel and ran it through again.
  • The happy end result was that all the papers were both embossed and colored as if letter pressed:)

Here are 4 LOVELY pieces left from this playtime:)

I used the paper towel (not shown above)  and Stitched Duo 1 Die from PPP for this card .

The sequin are PPP Sparkling Clear 4mm and 6mm.

Timeout Challenge: Casing DEE

Today I'm sharing a card that is for the TIME OUT Challenge #32 CASE with your own twist. CASEing DEEPTI:)
Here's my card,
This one layer card was created by masking off a portion of white cardstock and black ink blended on the lower half. The picnic pattern was created using VIGNETTE: Grunge Floral Strips.
The flower filled jars were built up from the VINETTE:Eclectic Florals, stamped in white unicorn and colored in with Inktense pencils and Glitter pens from Kirarina.  The sentiment was embossed in white. And I did go back over some of the lines in the bouquet with a white gel pen.

Here is Dee's Lovely original card:
I loved her picnic checked paper and the contrast of the the chalkboard:)
