Let your Dreams take flight

Happy Sunday to ya!
Today I'm sharing a card I've been dreaming of for a long time...I started working with a new stamp from The Ton several weeks ago...the  DRESS from this set.  I added sleeves with the tiny floral lace stamp and a bit of masking. Then I watercolored it with the slightest hint of blue.
and she set....and  sat for WEEKS... I knew what I wanted to do but what colors to use was my dilemma.

But then inspiration came to me after seeing this gorgeous piece from Jessica.
I have been following her on IG for some time now.
CONGRATULATIONS @JessicaAFrost!
Jessica is having a color challenge on her blog as well.

And here is my finished card:)

It kind of has a Cinderella feel to it!

Thanks for stopping by!

STAMPS:
sentiment from Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Sequins:
PPP Sweet Pea mix my most latest crush:))

Edited: thank you Jess!
The card would never have been completed without your photo inspiration.

Hero Arts Fabulous Flowers Challenge take 2 x 3.

No we are NOT doing math! It's the weekend, and I'm never the MATH teacher around here:)
I just wanted to have another go with the Hero Arts  Fabulous Flowers Challenge.
At the beginning of the year I saw where Jennifer McGuire said that she was going to try to make multiples of each card she created. So I have been trying to do the same, Not only for practice sake, but to have More cards on hand to send out:)

Here are three cards for the challenge using:
  • One wooden mount stamp
  • One leaf clear stamp.
  • One Sentiment.
 Three different takes,
just because that's the way watercolor works out.

I clear embossed each one after stamping the flower in various shades of pink. Then set to watercoloring. The second one needed some black pen outlines. All three sentiments were stamped in OCEAN WAVES crisp ink from Altenew. I used all shades of blue crisp inks from this set for the shadow wash.
My design choice was influenced by this card by Ruby.

Thanks for stopping by!

LauraJane:)
Ruffled Flower:S5482
Leaf:CL427
Sentiment: CL380

Ziggs were my medium of choice.

SugarPea Designs Sugar Sketch #42

Hello!
Here is my card for Sugar Sketch #42
I went CAS on this one by dry embossing the
SugarCuts – Air Mail Set at an angle, twice.
Then stamped the Coffee bean heart from Caffeine Addict, fussy cut it out and layered the sentiment several times after masking off the cream swirl heart in the middle for more interest:)

Here's the new sketch:

Waffle Flower Spring Release Preview

 Hello!
Today I have the pleasure of sharing three cards using a few new items
from Waffle Flower Crafts that will be available for purchase on February 22nd.
Thank you Nina Yang for inviting me to create and share for the preview!
I'm so impressed with these dies! The tiny details and precision cutting is just as expected with the wafer thin dies. thoughtfully engineered to work together or stand alone.
I have a difficult time putting them away...There were yellow paper flurries all over my craft room:)))
This first one just makes me HAPPY!
  • For starters I used the LACY FLOWERS die, which reminds me of Italian Pizzelle cookies, for the yellow bloom. There are five different shapes and sizes in this set that match PERFECTLY together!
  • I cut several of the largest die layers and stacked them to create some dimension.
  • Then cut, in a darker shade of yellow, a LACY FLOWER MATS die for the back.
  • I continued layering in the darker yellow, the middle layer from the Lacy Flowers.
  • Then one more layer in a shade of melon:)
  • The white frame is from Lacy Layers Die set.
  • All matted on some yellow gingham paper
  • The sentiment is from LACY FLOWER stamp set.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!
I love the Lacy Layers Die set so much, I actually sold several of my other frame dies because this ONE set covers it all!  see the tiny piercings on each scallop?.

  • This next one I created a bloom starting with the 2nd largest layer in LACY FLOWERS die for my flower and then layering up with different sizes :)
  • I used the new AWESOME word die for the sentiment. And another beautiful white frame from the  Lacy Layers Die set.
  • And finally, I played around with both LACY LAYERS and LACY FLOWER sets to create another  card with many LAYERS of goodness.

STILL SWOONING!

I encourage you to hop over to
to see more of the sets being released February 24th. There are so many SUPER CUT critters for Spring and Easter too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Simon Says: Shake It Up

Hello! Happy Friday!

  • I started with a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and spritzed with H2O.
  • Took Zig Clean markers and touched to different areas of the wet paper and put the heat tool to it to dry.
  • Made my shaker element from PPP exclusive Square Scallop Frame Die and filled it with several different mixes of sequins. Including SSS Tiny Flowers Sequins VANILLA
  • Die cut the PRAYERS and BIRD of ROSES  and adhered them to the front of the shaker.

Hope you have a BLESSED weekend!
Thanks for stopping by.

SPDSS#41

Hello!

There is a new sketch to work with at SugarPea Designs. Here is my card using Whisky Business. I had a great time coloring in all the tiny baking utensils and creating a plaid back ground with my pencils.

I colored with Inktense watercolor pencils.
