Guesting at Concord & 9th

Hello and welcome to my 2nd Guest post with Concord & 9th featuring stamps and dies from their October 2016 Release. You can see my first post Here.
I'm Super excited to share how I made an interactive/Lift the Flap card using the Cozy Up Bundle.

To make the card:
  • I started out with white CS and stamped the large heart with red ink.
  • Then used the die to cut a mask from masking paper.
  • Placed it over the red heart
  • Created a "Cut Log" background by using the heart stamp again....being careful to line up the edges of the logs so they did not overlap.
  • Cut the panel down using the large frame die from Happy Card Frame dies
  • Adhered that to an A2 sized cardbase. set aside.
  • Stamped all the sentiments in black ink then heat embossed with clear EP on white CS....fussy cut around STAY and COZY..cut word blocks with the rest.
  • On separate white CS I stamped the Heart with a cocoa colored ink and used the Die to cut it out.
  • Cut a second Heart out of Woodgrain CS and stuck the two together with Tombow mono
  • Scored the top left corner of the heart to create a "flap" and wrapped some embroidery thread around at the scoreline.
  • Tied a small bow. Glued it in place.
  • Popped up LET'S JUST block with foam tape and placed it above the scoreline.
  • Placed a second piece of foam tape on the underside of the heart at the top left.
  • Adhered the remaining sentiments in place with Tombow mono.

Inspired By All the Little Things #30

Warning: potential "earworm" if you proceed.

New Challenge is up at Inspired By All the Little Things
After looking at the photo you may understand the above warning...maybe not,

I do enjoy the Pumpkin Spice Season:))) And if you are familiar with 90's pop music, you will understand the sentiment. With a Pumpkin twist.
Tea Party stamp set from The Ton inked up nicely for this one:)) Of course I chose inks by the name Warm HazelnutSpiced Chai, :))

The Cocoa Collection is scrumptious too!

I created the sentiment using Concord & 9th's Perfectly Penned

After seeing the variation of color on the letters...from Not thoroughly cleaning the stamps..
I decided to re-ink each letter in a darker shade for a shadow effect.

Unfortunately I liked the first, softer, almost whispered sentiment better. My DH, on the other hand, preferred the second one.
Which do YOU like?

Inspired by All the Little Things #29

Happy Saturday:)
It's time for a new challenge at
Aren't those colors screaming Autumn? Somehow a splash of purple and dusty rose got in my color palette!
This is an old set called Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves from Just Rite..I LOVE the shapes and sheet music script on the maple leaf. I inked them in Distress inks and them added shadows with some copics. The CHERISH sentiment is from HoneyBee Stamps.

STAMPlorations Special Release blog Hop

Hello Wednesday! There is a special release at STAMPlorations. The new set is called Kathryn Loves Christmas. It was designed by Deepti:)) I found the images to be very versatile.
I just LOVE her hat too:)))

The sweet "little Kathryn" image was a delight to color after embossing with Liquid Platinum.

For my next card I did some 'zen stamping"...repeated stamping while using the MISTI.
Then colored with the ziggys. The sentiment is from Framed Christmas.

There you go! That's all for me today. Happy Hopping:))
Just stop by STAMPlorations for the list of other Design Team member's blog links.

There is a prize for the hop:))
1 commenter will be randomly drawn to win the Kathryn Loves Christmas stamp set.

Velveteen Pumpkins: Inspired By All the Little things #28

Happy Saturday:)
It's time for a new challenge at
Inspired by all those jewel toned pumpkins!

  • I used the Thankful Cornucopia from The Ton.
  • Embossed it in Rose Gold  EP.
  • Then set to coloring with the Ziggy's.
  • The original cornucopia does not have as many pumpkins in the large stamp image...I simply stamped and embossed several more smaller ones, die cut them out and added them after I was done coloring.

Tried making a shaker..after being inspired by Larissa, my teamie at HoneyBee Stamps...once again it was not as simple as it looks:)) I did record MOST of the debacle!..gave up recording after my phone ran out of space...so most of the dilemmas are not recorded.

Guesting at Concord & 9th

To say I'm Over the Moon excited to be guesting at Concord & 9th this month would be an understatement.Or, how tickled I was to receive an e-mail from Angie and Greg, owners of Concord & 9th, a few weeks ago!
I have the pleasure of creating with their NEWEST release all month long:)) and posting my creations on their Blog three times.
C&9 is a year old stamp and die company that has an unspoken, unique marketing strategy of KNOWING their customers' style and allowing them, the customers, to highlight C&9's new products for releases that happen every month on the 9th. Their stamps and dies are well thought out, and in my opinion, timeless, with a hint of vintage vibe.
I feel SO BLESSED to have been asked to create with the October 2016 release:)
It's as if the entire bundle was created just for me
Check  it out!

HAPPY WORDS:
Florals and Frames and HAPPY..Oh my!!

Hearts and Bold sentiments..WARM and COZY!!

a unique frame add-on..that I think stands on it's own:)

Three alphas in one set..Thank you, I needed this one!!

Enough talking...Here are my first three cards:
using a little bit from everything you saw above:)

Of course I HAD to try coloring this gorgeous bloom...in yellow:)) and with the Ziggys!
I have a video showing how I used the MISTI to ink up the ROSE and stamp the sentiment perfectly:)
I chose to keep it simple in it's own elegance. Using the large frame from Happy Card Frame die set to cut the clean; just 1/4" shy of an A2 sized card. Mounted with fun foam for dimension.

Here is the video:))

Then I went to town using the Happy Card Frame die set for this next one.
Cutting several of the inner rectangles and adding the HAPPY that cuts uniquely attached directly to the frame...check out the video explaining how this works.

and Finally, I have some Mistletoe Kisses for you!!
Again, I turned on the camera to show how simple it was to color the mistletoe die cut. Then how easy it was to stamp from Perfectly Penned the word KISSES. Warm and Cozy  from COZY UP, make a fun BG repeatedly stamped in a line.
Check out my video:

Devine Umbrellas / Blue Poppies Inspired By #27 with video

Hello and HAPPY Saturday!
Where did this week fly to?
There is new inspiration at Inspired By All the Little Things #27.
Somehow these umbrellas reminded me of Flowers! Big surprise, HA!!

So, I set to painting a few Poppies for my card today,
 in shades of blue:)))
Here is a snapshot from a very quick (15 minute) painting session.
It's been several months since I've practiced painting these and found my skills quite rusty.  I did film the the whole thing; you can watch if you like. I trimmed out the moments of pondering of what to do next....there were many of those:) Otherwise I left the video in real time.

Here is the finished card using the panel from above.
I LOVE the color combo from the inspiration photo..After cutting the painted panel down, I inked some Twisted Citron Distress on the edges and added a panel of the same shade underneath to give a pop of color.
The floral die, in the corner, is from Waffle Flower's Lacy Panel die
HELLO word die is from The Ton

Hope this inspired you to play along with us!!
